A list/review of some cool Vampire links...

Thursday

A Vampire in Moscow?
OK, that’s not the situation, but still, I can see it being made into a movie. That is, all of it except the part where he has to stab his victims. Come on, how can you consider yourself a vampire if you have to stab your victims. If you stab them, you’re just a nut case. Sorry.

Wednesday

Vampire Fraud
Some woman in Italy was fleeced for 50,000 euros by two folks claiming to be vampires. They blackmailed this poor lady, poor not because they blackmailed her, but because she fell for it, for FOUR years! It seems they told her they would impregnate her with the son of the devil if she didn’t pay them.

And these people were reputable, too… After all, the man was a cabaret singer, he had to be a vampire right? Don’t all vampires have jobs? And good ones, too, like singing in a cabaret.

Thursday

TAKE IT OFF SARAH!
I don't know what else to say on this one! I hope she gets LOTS of roles that involve her getting naked. I am all for this life decision.

The Vampire's Daughter
The story keeps going and going--I love it! (Not as much as the idea of seeing Geller in her birthday suit, but that's not a fair comparison.) The author has added some bells and whistles, too. You can read his message board for personal info on him, the story, and his life, and you can sign up for email notifications when he updates. That said, he's pretty good at posting every Tuesday and Thursday.

Friday

NO! This has gone too far…
OK, I don’t care that Jim Stanek is going to play Louis in the Broadway production of Interview with the Vampire. I don’t care one bit who plays the characters. What I care about is that there is going to be a Broadway play made out of Interview. That’s just too much. A movie I understand, but a play? That’s just silly. Will it be set to a ABBA score? Come on, let it die already.

Wednesday

Another Review of the Historian...
I still haven't gotten the book, but everyone seems to like it. But then I don't like most movies that everyone likes and tend to like most movies that everyone hates. Maybe I won't buy it... No, I probably will, I'll just wait until it's in paperback! Less

More People Into Biting?
I said it last time, if you want to bite you have to ask first! What’s up with these nut jobs going around picking strangers (ick, this guy chose smelly homeless people) up and masticating them? Did I use masticate the right way? Eh, who cares, the point is the same—if you want to bite you have to ask. Hey, there are plenty of people who actually like it! How about trying to find them?

When Vampire’s Rule The World!
A new movie is in the works by Australian directors Michael and Peter Spierig about what it would be like if Vampires took over the world. Sounds kind of cool! I’m be waiting for this one…
The Historian
Review One
Review Two
A new vampire novel that comes with a twist, kind of. OK, I haven’t read it yet, but I plan on it. It looks really neat. It sounds like it’s part Buffy part mystery novel. Sounds like fun! Check out the two reviews…

The Vampire’s Daughter, as an online alternative to books!
If you are looking for a twist on the typical vampire story, The Vampire’s Daughter is a good place to start. The lead vampire character takes in the daughter of one of his victims and, in the second book (which just started up) is living with her and a couple of fellow vamps. The world around them is still crazy because of the turmoil of the first book. All this is FREE online. You can’t beat the price and, if you want him to, the author will email you when he updates—which he plans on doing two times a week (Tuesday and Thursday). As anyone who reads this site knows, I love the story. (It’s actually one of the reasons I’m posting again. I saw it was back up and get the itch to update my site again…)

Dork Alert!
So this kid says he’s a vampire, lures some 15-year-old girls to make out with him, and then bites their necks. They left with what sounds like hickeys on their necks. According the accusations, they were also sexually assaulted. The kid now denies just about everything.

Hmmm, if you need a pick up line, try something less idiotic then “Oh, yeah, I’m a vampire who can walk around in the daylight.” If you want to bite, find out if it’s OK first! (Some people are into it, others aren’t.) And, don’t ever do or continue to do something after you are asked to stop. Dork!

OK, I lost the link to this news brief, but, here is the text of it…
Teens vampire captives
A WOMAN vampire kept seven teenagers captive — and drank their blood. Diana Butenko, 29, lured homeless youngsters to her apartment saying she would feed them. But she plied them with booze, got them to sniff glue then tied them to beds. Butenko — now under arrest — slashed their arms and stored the blood in a fridge. Some victims were held for weeks. Occult pictures and posters covered walls of the five-bed house. Cops in Odessa, Ukraine, said: “The teenagers were very frightened. Butenko says she was paid to cast spells on clients’ rivals or enemies.”
She got them to huff? The best drug she could offer them was glue? And they went for it? Don't get me wrong, she's a nut job if the story is true, but what moron sniffs glue? Damn, if your going to be stupid, at least get some real drugs!

Monday

Giving Vampires a Bad Name
This guy is NUTS! He killed his family and, the media was sure to point out, was into vampires. Now every goth is going to have this negative stereotype plastered on them. I can hear it now, “You know goths are into vampires and they kill their families.” It’s a shame about his family.

You, Too, Can Waste Your Money on a Piece of Wood
Yes, that’s right, you can buy a stake—otherwise known as a big toothpick—from www.FactoryX.com. Sure, it’s supposed to be a “replica” of a Buffy the Vampire Slayer stake, but give me a break. It’s just a piece of wood!

Speaking of Buffy…
I don’t have a good link for this, but I heard that she’s going to be playing Sabrina in a movie version of Sabrina the Teenage witch. I hope life hasn’t gotten so bad for her that she needs to do this movie.

Friday

A Vampire Western Game?
Ubisoft has apparently reached an exclusive agreement with High Moon Studios to release Darkwatch, a story driven game that blends Wild West action with vampires. Who thinks up this stuff?

In the game, players step into the role of Jericho Cross, an outlaw seeking to rob a train. When he does so, he unleashes an ancient vampire Lord who bite him and then sends out a pulse wave of evil over the American West. (What, exactly, is a pulse wave of evil?) Corpses come alive and undead armies run rampant—Gasp! Jericho now has to save the West. Hmmm, I didn’t see that coming.

It’s billed as the “First-ever Vampire Western game.” You have to wonder why there was never one made before, perhaps because no one wanted one… I guess we’ll find out. If you are interested in more info, you can go to the official Darkwatch website.

Dracula Land
This is an interesting article about Transylvania. It’s short, but gives a quick history of Stoker and the vampire myth he created. Interestingly, Stoker never even visited the country!

The Vampire's Daughter is up and running!
That's right, The Vampire's Daughter has begun posting again. Gregg, the author, is going to be posting on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The first post was yesterday. YEAH! Check this free blog story out, it's good stuff.

Wednesday

Buffy the Vampire Slayer Episode Guide
A simple, down and dirty, Buffy Episode Guide. Not much there now, but if you just want to see what was on the Buffy TV front, this is a quick way to get it. John, the guy who wrote it, says he plans to put more up. We’ll see. But for now, It’s a good, quick Buffy resource. He linked to me, so I linked to him...

The Vampire’s Daughter
ONE MORE DAY! That’s all I have to say on that topic.

Tuesday

The Vampire's Daughter Starts This Thursday!
That's right folks, The Vampire's Daughter starts up again on June 2nd. That is THIS THURSDAY! I'm so excited... OK, It's not really all that exciting, but it is kinda cool. The first story was great and I hope the second story will be just as good. Stop by and read it, I'll keep you updated about it.

If you've never read it, before, the basic plot is that a vampire kills this woman and takes in her daughter. The other vampire's get pissed off about it and try to kill the girl and everyone else involved. Since there's a book two, I feel confident that I can tell you they don't succeed in killing the girl or the vampire, though lots of other people die along the way. So, that brings us to book two! Which starts Thursday! I'm so excited!

Friday

There are Vampire Fish, Too?
First we have vampire mites that attack bees, now we have vampire fish? It seems that a new fish was discovered in the Araguaia River of the Amazon Basin. It, well, lives off the blood of its hosts. Interestingly, it isn’t the only “vampire fish” from the area—there’s a blood-sucking species of catfish found there, too. The catfish “burrows into body orifices, securing itself to its host with spines along its sides and drinking its blood.” It finds its prey by detecting water streams coming gills, or in the case of humans, urine streams. HUMANS! URINE STREAMS! Talk about a way to stop people from peeing in the water… The new “vampire fish” is transparent (great, you can’t see it) and only 25 millimeters long (and it’s small, too), but scientists aren’t sure yet it if it targets humans. Great!

You have to ask yourself, if there are “vampire fish,” why is it so hard to believe that there are human-like vampires?

The Vampire's Daughter
It's getting close. The Vampire's Daughter's (is that English?) second part is gonna start. From the tag board, it looks like the author's gonna start posting on June Second. I can't wait! Just in case you were wondering, that's next Thursday...

A Vampire by Another Name…
I don’t know how valid this info is, but it’s interesting to see that so many different cultures have a name for vampires. How is it that so many disparate peoples created the same myth? After we’ve found so many parasitic animals, why couldn’t these myths have some validity? Eh, just wishful thinking…

Tool around the site a little bit, though, because it has some interesting stuff. Nothing too exciting, but worth a couple of minutes of your time.

Tuesday

Sara Michelle Gellar a Porn Star?
OK, not really. But she IS going to play a porn star in a new movie. Got to love that, right? Better yet, she’s going to costar with “The Rock.” Maybe that isn’t better yet, perhaps that’s a sad commentary, but I’ll give any movie a chance that has Gellar playing a sex kitten.

The Vampire’s Daughter
The Vampire’s Daughter part TWO is only a few weeks away! I’m really looking forward to this. Book one was great, but don’t trust me, read it yourself by clicking here. That said, the author promises that the next part starts in JUNE!

The Bee Vampire?
OK, this isn’t really about vampires, but it is really scary! It appears that there is this mite that likes honey bees. It eventually kills them. So what? Well, if there are no honey bees around to pollinate plants, then there are less plants producing fruits. So if honey bees die in large numbers, as is happening now, according to this article, then we get no more cheap, flavorful fruit!

Monday

Vampire Technology
So, you want to dress all goth and vampire like? This is a great place to do it! I swear this is the type of stuff you see in movies. And, if I can be so bold, some of it is really HOT! (Some of it’s just strange, too, but I’ll focus on the HOT stuff, if you don’t mind.

Spike TV to make Blade TV show
I liked Blade, Blade two was OK, Blade three never should have been made, and Blade the TV series, well, maybe there’s still time to kill it. Don’t get me wrong, I like the Blade story, it’s about a vampire after all, and I could see it working as a series, but I’m not sure that Spike TV is up to the challenge. But, as with all things Hollywood, I guess we’ll just have to wait and see how badly they botch it up.
Vampire' rapist gets 10 years
So a guy picks up a hooker and goes nuts on her. The poor prostitute had to deal with performing unmentioned sex acts and being raped while being told all sorts of crazy talk about drinking blood and Satan. It seems that a medical reviewer decided that his actions were driven by a combination of hallucinogenic drugs and alcohol. That said, the guy was linked to at least one other similar rape. They even got the guy on tape talking about the devil and escaping by walking through the jail cell’s bars. Although he wasn’t caught for either rape, his crazy vampire/devil talk and behavior got him arrested a few days after the second offence. So, was this guy on drugs or just plain nuts? I like vampire stuff because it’s romantic, but I don’t believe vampires are real….
The Buffy Sex Chart?
So someone took the time to map out the sexual activities and kissing activities of the cast of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Not that I’m not interested in knowing who Buffy the Vampire Slayer has kissed and had sex with, but this flow chart is a bit much. I’m not saying that the author needs to, um, find a new hobby or anything, but, perhaps, spending time doing something else might be more emotionally or educationally rewarding. Still, if you’re a Buffy fan, I guess it’s something to take a look at.

On that note, can it be true that cute Willow actress Alyson Hannigan has a sex video out? I’m not gonna buy it, but I bet it’s just someone who looks like her. (I hope it’s just someone that looks like her!)

Thursday

I've been bad...
Yes, I've been very very bad. I haven't updated in about a year. But I'm back now. Or at least I hope to be. In fact, I've been away for so long that my favorite blog story is over, has moved to a new website, and is getting ready to start up with the second part of the story. Of course I'm talking about The Vampire's Daughter. Yes, the author defected to our humble blogspot! The end of the first "book" is really exciting, too. I can't wait to see what he does with the story in book two... He says it'll start posting in June. Until then, you can go to the new site and check out the old story in chapter order (easier to read that way, if you ask me).

I recently tried a link I've never tried before--www.vampire.com. Odd that I've never tried just typing that one in, but I havn't. At least not until today. Would you believe it's a link to an energy drink! Go figure.

That's the update for now. I'll try to keep on top of this site more...

Tuesday

The Vampire's Daughter has New PDFs
The story is getting good and the new PDFs make it easy to read. I can't wait to see what else happens! You can get to the new PDFs by clicking HERE! That makes chapters 1 through 50 available via this new format.

Sunday

Vampire Realm of Darkness
A cool site with links to pictures (lots and lots of pictures), a vampire book list (lots and lots of books), and stories (my favorite). Some of the folks are a bit too into the vampire thing for my taste (they try to talk in old English, that kind of annoys my), but I think it’s a good site. Check out the forums, which are fairly active, if you want to find the stories.

Thursday

The Vampire's Daughter is BACK!!!!
I was worried, the fellow over at The Vampire's Daughter hadn't posted in a long time. It seems that he had a death in the family. I'm sorry for that, but I'm glad he's back in the game. Not to be selfish, but this is my favorite vampire story blog and I want to find out what happens next.
VampFangs.net
I’m not sure I really need to get into much detail for this site. They sell custom fit vampire fangs (and werewolf fangs, too, if you don’t like the vampire ones). You can even get fangs in pure silver! Prices range from about $10 for generic fit fangs to just over $30 for the sterling silver kind.

The Vampire’s Daughter
Here is a quick update! A vampire named Sabastian kills a woman and takes in her daughter. He gives the daughter away to protect her from mean vampires even though he really loves the girl. The police get involved and vampires get involved. Now the vampires that rule New York City want to talk to Sabastian to find out what he knows. I can’t wait to find out what happens next…

Wednesday

I Joined a Web Ring!
This has very little to do with vampire web sites, but I just put a web ring down at the bottom of the page. It’s actually really cool, I can join tons of rings via www.webring.com and I only need to put one chuck of code on my page. I like that. If you are interested, you can go to the web ring web site and put vampire into their search engine. All sorts of good stuff comes up. I’ll probably be adding many, many more rings to my site as I have time.

Tuesday

Lilith’s Lair
It’s been very long time since I last posted. I know because there have been three posts at The Vampire’s Daughter (I’ve been bad, I only just got to them!). Well, it’s time to get back on the bandwagon! And I’m doing it with Lilith’s Lair. This site is kind of cool in a vampire way. It has tons of stories and poetry, my favorite, and is very interactive—which means it has lots of forums and stuff. I’ll need to spend more time rummaging through the short stories, but so far I like the site a lot.

Monday

Free Vampire Stories
The guy over at The Vampire’s Daughter has started a new site where people can post vampire stories. It sounds like a good idea to me since I like reading vampire stories. There is only one story up right now (it is a short story about a character in The Vampire’s Daughter). If you are interested in submitting something, check out the submission page.

Tuesday

Chapters 11 to 20 up in PDF form at The Vampire's Daughter
My favorite vampire story site just put up chapters 11 to 20 in PDF. This is great stuff, and now you can read it more easily--even off line if you want!
Vampire’s Crypt
This is the site of a writer that does vampire fiction. She has some interesting links, some of which send you to fee chapters from books. She has a link down at the bottom of a download the contains free chapters from a bunch of her books. I still like The Vampire's Daughter better, though, because the whole thing is free!

Which mysterious legend are you?
This is another quiz that isn’t really a vampire quiz, but if you have time to kill—why not? It appears that I’m not a vampire, but the Loch Ness Monster!

“People have believed in "Nessie" for thousands of years. It is said that the sea monster swims in the Loch Ness lake in Scotland. Perhaps one of the biggest mysteries out there, many have tried to fake a picture of Nessie but none have been officially confirmed.”

Damn, I had to be the lame monster.

Sunday

Vampire Sex Story
I run a clean and appropriate site, but I know some people like things racy. So, for those people who want to read and see things that are, um, risky--here is a site you should take a look at. There are vampire sex stories and pictures of, well, female vampires with little if any clothing on. I haven’t read any of the stories, I got distracted by the pictures, so I can’t tell you if they are any good.

The Vampire's Daughter is where you should go for some nice clean reading! Besides, there are no photos to distract you from the text!

Friday

Vampyr
This appears to be a screenplay by Carl Dreyer called Vampyr. I have to be honest, I didn’t read the whole thing yet, it’s kind of long, but it starts out OK if you are willing to read a screenplay. All of the actor directions being explained can take away from the story. I’m probably going to go back and take a look at the whole thing when I have more time because, well, I like vampire stories.

The Vampire’s Daughter
Speaking of vampire stories, the guy who publishes my current favorite story, The Vampire’s Daughter, has added a neat new feature—a PDF version of the story. He only has “chapters” 1 to 10 up so far (as one document), but I’m expecting he’ll be putting the rest up sooner or later. It makes it easier to read when you don’t have to jump back and forth from the Table of Contents page. I’ll keep you informed. Good idea!

Tales From the 23rd
I’m still waiting for the next installment of this one. I hope the author continues to write, it looks like it will be a fun read.

Thursday

Vampires Only
A site that has many things of interest. The best part, I think, is that it lists interesting vampire happenings, such as movie festivals, and keeps you up to date on vampire movies, books, etc. It also has a fairly active message board. Where else could you find out that "Blacula" actor William Marshall died recently at the age of 78? And, the site has been around for 10 years—WOW!

Tuesday

Tales from the 23rd
This is another story blog, much like The Vampire’s Daughter. Only this story seems to be told from the perspective of a vampire that works for an organization called The office for Vampire Affairs. It only has one entry so far, but it seems like it will be interesting. Perhaps The Vampire’s Daughter will have some competition for my attention! (By the way, in an attempt at complete honesty, I found the site because the author linked to me. It kind of feels like cheating since I didn’t find the site on my own, but I like vampire stories and the site seems like it has great potential so I reviewed it.)

Monday

The Federal Vampire and Zombie Agency
This site rocks. It is about what I presume is a make believe government agency created to fight vampires and zombies. The site is so good because it takes itself seriously. The history is particularly funny, especially the photographs and pictures. Interesting concept, too. Perhaps it IS real and I’m just too stupid to know it!

Sunday

Today’s Vampire Magazine Table of Contents
This is a dead site, but the page I have referenced has a hypothetical vampire magazine table of contents on it. It’s very, very funny. Totally worth a look, and, if you have time, you can tool around the rest of the site, too.

Saturday

Quiz Two: What Character from “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” are You?
If you like Buffy the Vampire Slayer this might be of interest. It is a short seven questions. I turned out to be XANDER. That makes sense, I’m a boy--but I think I would rather be Angel, he’s cooler. From the site: “You are Alexander 'Xander' Harris, everybody's best friend and favorite sidekick. You would do anything for your friends - even lose an eye. Most of the women you've dated have been selfish or evil, but you love who you love.”

The Vampire’s Daughter: Update
OK, we are up to chapter 40. Sabastian, the vampire, has given up the little girl (who I think he loves as his own) to protect her from the bad vampires (the Tribunal). He is now trying to figure out what the heck the bad vampires are doing and why. This is getting good!

Friday

Vampire Questionnaires
This is by far the most comprehensive list of questionnaires related to vampires that I’ve seen. I haven’t taken all of the tests, but I’m going to start taking them. That way I can tell you what I think of each one. If you like these goofy things, then you should definitely go here.

The first test is: What Type of World of Darkness Creature Are You?
I am a vampire hunter. I guess that isn’t too far off since I hunt out vampire web sites. Wow, these tests really work! It was interesting and not too long.
Vampire Killing Kit?
This is old news, but it sure is interesting—apparently Sotheby's recently sold a vampire killing kit. It seems that many of these kits were created. The above link has a link to a French site that claims to have one that was created for the Catholic Church. It was used to kill such boogiemen as Jack the Ripper and Hitler, though I wasn’t aware that either of these men were actually vampires.

Thursday

Vampires Then and Now
This is an excellent collection of information about vampires, vampire actors, and vampire literature. Indeed, the site even contains Bram Stoker’s Dracula! Why buy it when you get can it free? (I’m not sure about the copyright legality of the stories on this site, but that’s not our concern—it’s the site owner who has to deal with it.) And, I have to admit, Bram Stoker’s work is better than The Vampire’s Daughter, but I’ve already read Dracula and The Vampire’s Daughter is an ongoing story (the guy who writes it seems to update it about two times a week with new text). This is all beside the point, though, because the site has far more to offer than just some stories, it is worth a look.

Wednesday

Bela-Lugosi
A site dedicated to the memory of Bela Lugosi. According to the site, he was the most prominent vampire of all time. I don’t buy that, but the site has an interesting biography—I didn’t know he was a morphine addict—and a list of films the actor was in. Lugosi was damn prolific! It also has some links—you should check it out if Lugosi interests you at all.

To give credit where credit is due, I found this site over at my favorite site, The Vampire’s Daughter, in the BlogLinker section.
Vampire Queen of the Week
I’m a boy. I like looking at cute girls. I can admit this. I also happen to find gothic girls cute. So, this site (and the following site) are right up my alley. Every week, this site is supposed to post a new vampire queen. It doesn’t seem to be updating right now, but I’m going to be sure to check again—just to make sure it’s updating.

Gothic Girl of the Week
This is the same idea as the vampire queen site, but with gothic girls. This one is updating, but I think I’ll keep going back every week just to make sure that it doesn’t stop updating. This type of constant monitoring is vital when it comes to cute gothic girls.

Tuesday

Blood Donor Registry
I’m not sure if this site is for real or not, but there are some names on it! Essentially, if you would like a vampire to come and drink your blood, you should put your name on this list. Unless, of course, it is actually some sick, twisted swinger board where people drink each other’s blood instead of have sex. They even have a disclaimer about the safety of meeting people using online services—well, I can’t imagine that anyone would think that meeting someone to let them drink your blood is all that safe. Either way, I don’t think I’m going to put my name down, how about you?

Monday

Vampires.Com
Among other things available at this site, it has a cool time line of vampire "events" up until 1999. Although it is far from complete, it is interesting to see some of the things listed. For example, I didn't realize that Ann Rice's Interview with the Vampire was published in 1976! I should give the guy who runs the site an update and tell him about the first Vampire Story Blog--started at the start of 2003!
Vampire Dolls?
OK, I don’t get into playing with dolls or anything like that, but these are kind of neat. No, I’m not buying one! What would my wife say? But, this Bella Luna line has all unique cloths and it seems that they are each hand made. I’m not sure, but they may take a Barbi (or some other doll) and make it into a vampire doll. No male dolls, though, so I guess there will never be a Sabastian from The Vampire's Daughter!

Sunday

A Vampire’s Love
This is a cute story about the love between a vampire and a human. Starts out kind of corny because the vampire is only “half” vampire to start out, but once you get past that, it is really cute. It made me go “aw.” And, it’s short, so it won’t take long.
Vamps Inc.
This is a nice site with a good deal to offer. It’s got photos from vampires to gothic art, vampire stories, chat, etc. It was slow to load on my computer—even with a high-speed connection. Unfortunately, I didn’t have enough time to really root around, but from what I’ve seen you should go.

Tuesday

Blue Blood Magazine
At the site where I saw this, it was billed as a “real” vampire magazine. Um, OK, but I don’t think “real” vampires would dress like this. Talk about drawing attention to yourself! Some of these people dress really, really wild! I’m not saying they look bad (OK, some of them do), but definitely wild. I think this would be better classified as a Goth magazine—what the ranting Christian site Goth Magazine should have been, perhaps.

So I'm going to rant about The Vampire’s Daughter again. The guy who writes it just introduced “Claudia,” an old lady from Hungary with bad English skills (chapter 0037). Why do all vampire stories eventually have someone from Eastern Europe in them? I’m not saying he won’t make this work, but it’s a little cheesy (she seems to have “special” powers). Still, I like the story overall and a little hokeyness is expected when you read about vampires.

Friday

Dark Thoughts Magazine
This is a brand new, direct from the kitchen, magazine full of amateur writers and artists. It’s not a bad idea, but only available in print. BUT, they are looking for submissions if you are interested. (I sent this link to the guy who writes The Vampire’s Daughter.)

Goth Magazine
This isn’t a vampire link, but it is kind of funny in a scary way. Goth Magazine starts you off thinking that it’s an online magazine about being a goth—even has cool pictures. Then almost every link leads to Christian ranting about Jesus and how he loves you. Did you know that Jesus is the beautiful joy of erotic tongue? I’m not sure what that means, but I’m glad that they told me.

Thursday

OK, I shouldn’t harp so much about The Vampire’s Daughter, but I really like the story. If you don’t trust me, check out the site’s Reader Reviews page. Right now, the vampire, his name is Sabastian (who spells Sebastian with an ‘a’ and how do you say that anyway?) killed the girl’s mom, took the girl in, and gave her away! And, the cop who is looking into the case has just been taken off the case and sent to Florida. I’m not sure where this is going, but I can’t wait to find out.

Now for some links I haven’t already told you about!
As promised, here is a link to a site about Kindred: The Embraced, the TV show. I loved that show—it rocked! I actually liked it better than I liked Buffy the Vampire Slayer (Buffy got goofy after the first couple of seasons and I stopped watching). Check out the Links page for tons of other sites about the show.

This is a site about Mark Frankel, the lead character from Kindred: The Embraced. He played Julian Luna. As I said before, he basically killed himself by running his motorcycle off the road. I thought he was a good actor and all, but can you believe he has his own Web ring?

If you are remotely interested in buying the Kindred TV series, you can do it at Amazon. I don’t get any money out of this, but it is a really cool show and I thought you might be interested.

Here are some other Web sites about the show:
Camarila’s TV Kindred Page
Cult TV Programme Guides (I’ll have to go back to this site for other stuff)
Kindred: the Embraced Fanfic Page (What can I say, I like vampire stories)
The Coven Organization
This site has a lot of interesting stuff for and about vampires. I have to see about joining their banner exchange, top list, and Web ring. I was particularly interested in their Drinks page—I liked the blood-orange mimosa and the Barnabas Collins (AKA Dark Shadows; another show that I’ll have to find some good site links for). Of course you should check out their manifesto—the site is created for vampires by vampires. If they had a clothing line, would it be called FVBV (for vampires by vampires)? Oh, by the way, they have vampire stories, too!

Quebec Bloodlines
I wish I could have understood more this Canadian vampire site, but a lot of it was in French—it’s based out of Quebec, go figure. Looked neat, though, and they have a great collection of Web rings I’m going to check out some day. I think I’d feel better about the site if they had some drink recipes!

A Vampire’s Memoirs
This guy had the same idea as fellow over at The Vampire’s Daughter, but NO FOLLOW THROUGH!!! I thought I had found yet another cool story to read, but I guess not. I keep listing lame links instead of good ones, but it upsets me to see something that could be good left to linger and die. Of course, he has plenty of those darn pop-under ads to annoy you for showing up in the first place. ARG!!!

If you want a good online vampire story, I still say go to The Vampire’s Daughter.

If you want to try a different site with a couple of cute Vampire Stories, try here: Stephanie Sama’s Doom. The stories are short so they are an easy read. I suggest you take a break from work and look. Don’t delve too far into them, though, because you’ll be disappointed. Enjoy them for what they are--fun.

Monday

Which Ann Rice character are you?
I am Louise, all I ever do is “whine” and I’m a “pussy”! Worse yet, it appears that I let other vampires make me their “bitch”. Well, screw you Ann Rice questionnaire… I’m not a whiner. What’s that supposed to mean. I’m not like that at all. I’m gonna go tell my master about your stupid test.

Vampire Probability Test
100 questions is a bit long, but… I scored 21%. This means “You're most likely human. While you have less personality traits in common with the vampire, people in this group might like certain aspects of vampyrism as opposed to others. Like, they'd like the immortality, but hate hurting people; or, they'd like hurting people, but would fear getting bored doing it.” I didn’t really think I was a vampire anyway.

I think this is the text version of the test. In case you really wanted to fill it out and score it by hand. I didn't bother.

What Kindred Clan do you belong to?
I don’t know because the site made my web browser freeze! Maybe it will work for you.

By the way, do you remember the TV show? I’m going to try and look for a link to that soon. I actually bought the whole thing and loved it. Too bad the lead character drove his motorcycle off the road and killed himself (or so I’ve heard).

Sunday

Vampires!
"Rosario has lured you into this dark alleyway. As you wait for your eyes to adjust, you feel something brush against your neck. There is a slight popping noise, of fangs sinking into your veins. You are paralysed, while the blood drains from your body. As the fangs retract, you feel a new strength, and a new coldness in your limbs. You have joined the ranks of the undead." OK, I don’t want to join this online RPG game, but if you are remotely interesting in such things--you should shoot over and take a look. It seems like it could be a cool site. (Please note that I did not spell paralyzed wrong, that is exactly what the site says--I guess knowing how to spell isn’t a requirement for playing the game.) Click this link if you prefer to be bitten by Ental...

Vampire Wear...
I should only put up good links, but this one is of interest because I can’t see how they think they will make any money selling cheesy shirts. They even have an affiliate program (which I DID NOT join). Anyway, if you want some cheesy shirt that says "immortal" on it, this seems like the place to go.

Thursday

White Wolf
Let's start this blog off with a neat link to a company that sells products about vampires and the like. This includes role playing games, books, and card games. Kind of cool stuff. My girly girl loves the "clan novel" books. I think they are OK.

The Vampire's Daughter
This cool site is an ongoing blog book! A cool idea, if you ask me. So far, this vampire has killed a woman, taken in her daughter, and it looks like he's going to take on all of the vampires in NYC! So far there are some 30 "chapter" (blog entries). It is worth a visit.
